Water license
Water is a game launcher for Windows. Pick a game and press Install: Water downloads it, installs it without a single installer window and sets it up. Then Play starts it. A license unlocks Water on one PC for a year.
What your license unlocks
- Silent installs. Installers run out of sight, so you never click through a wizard.
- Games set up for you. The right language, the runtimes a game needs, a desktop shortcut and a Start menu entry.
- 14 consoles, from PlayStation to Switch. Water downloads each emulator, checks it and sets it up: fullscreen, saves per profile, a sharp picture.
- Your controller just works. DualShock 4, DualSense and Xbox controllers in every emulator. A second controller is player two.
- Profiles. Everyone on the PC gets their own play time, saves and achievements, with a popup as each one unlocks.
- Updates. Water and its catalog update by themselves for as long as your license runs.
How it works
- Pay here. Your key shows on screen as soon as the payment clears, and arrives by email.
- Open Water, type the key on the license screen and press Activate.
- Your year starts. Install, then Play.
- One license is one PC. Your key binds to the first PC you activate it on.
- Your year starts when you activate, not when you buy. Buying a key now for later loses nothing.
- New PC, or a fresh Windows? Ask us on Discord and we'll move your license. Its end date stays the same.
- Renewing: buy another year and type the new key into Water. The year goes on the end of the one you have, so renewing early wastes nothing.
- Water checks your license once a day, so it needs the internet at least that often.
- What you need: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, and room for your games.
- Not sure yet? Your first install is free. Download Water and install any one game without a key; it stays yours.
Water hosts and sells no games. It is a game launcher and a BitTorrent client, and every game comes from the BitTorrent network, shared by other players.
Your license pays for Water itself: the downloading, the installing, the setup, the emulators and the controllers.
Download Water only from waterlauncher.app. Every emulator and system file it downloads is checked against a pinned hash before Water uses it. Windows warns about the installer because it isn't code-signed yet: press More info, then Run anyway.
